Early this week Harlem's own Vado dropped his EP Sinatra featuring the hit single "Look Me In My Eyes". Also this year we celebrate 20 years since the release of Nas's Illmatic and 10 years since Kanye West's The College Dropout. These two albums are hip hop classics and Illmatic will have a re-release coming later this year.
In the realm of NBA news Damian Lillard will make All-Star history by being the first player to compete in all five main events this year. I'm taking Stephen Curry in the 3 point shootout, John Wall in the Dunk Contest, and the West in the All-Star game with Blake Griffin or Kevin Durant taking the MVP trophy home. To leave the NBA for a moment, everyone make sure to purchase the J23 app from Itunes in order to stay up to date on those special edition Valentine's day releases and other promotions such as restocks. All-Star weekend will take place in New Orleans this year and you can expect to see all of your favorite hip hop and R&B artists present at this annual rendezvous of the elite athletes in the sport and the talented artists of our generation.
