twozerooneseven

Welcome back to perhaps the greatest blog on the web. We took a break last semester due to a full schedule with college but we are back in full effect. So lets jump right into it with the first post of the year.

NBA
This NBA season has been interesting with the Western Conference appearing a lot weaker than it has been in recent years. The eighth and ninth seeds in the west are well below .500 while the Eastern Conference is stuck in a tight race with several above average teams chasing the playoffs. All Star voting has began and shockingly Zaza Pachula has more votes than elite Centers/Forwards like Boogie Cousins, AD, and The Claw. Fans are encouraged to vote everyday to send their favorite players to New Orleans in February. Kevin Durant has fit in perfectly in Golden State while the defending champion Cavaliers have looked strong and recently added sharpshooting veteran Kyle Korver. The second half of the season will be interesting as players such as Rajon Rondo, Andrew Bogut, Nerlens Noel, Paul Milsap, and Brandon Knight look poised to change locations before the trade deadline.

NFL
The NFL postseason has been set with the Raiders and Texans getting things started on January 7th followed by the Lions and Seahawks in the Wildcard round. The following day will feature the Dolphins and the Steelers squaring off followed by the Giants and the Packers. This years' postseason should be exciting as teams such as the Giants and Dolphins make returns to the stage. The Giants have won the Super Bowl in each of their last two post season appearances. Bye rounds have been granted to the Falcons, Patriots, Chiefs, and Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys are a Super Bowl favorite, but as well all know with sports, only time will tell.

Boxing
Boxing has been quite interesting as fighters have expressed interest in taking fights that many never saw coming. Shawn Porter has expressed interest in fighting Andre Berto while coming off a unanimous decision loss to Keith Thurman. Amir Khan is also looking to regain his composure coming off a devastating knockout loss to Canelo Alvarez. Alvarez is a hot topic as many are waiting for him to take on undefeated Gennady Golvkin. In the mean time, Danny Jacobs will take on Golovkin at MSG in March much to the delight of fight fans that feel Jacobs will be the first real test for Golovkin who annihilated Kell Brooks, a fighter that was previously undefeated.

Hip-Hop/R&B
With the year just beginning the annual "Rap Up" by East New York's Uncle Murda has been a hot topic. You can listen to the track below where the Brooklyn spitter touches on everything with his comedic genius and ad-libs that are out of this world. Soulja Boy and Chris Brown have been engaged in some beef that has prompted a celebrity boxing match. Floyd Mayweather will train Soulja and 50 Cent will be training Chris. The undercard will also feature former NBA players Kenyon Martin and Tim Thomas squaring off as well as both 21 and 22 Savage. Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have officially broken up and people are awaiting new music from each as a result. J. Cole dropped his album at the end of last year to the tune of 550k first week sales along with other artists such as Post Malone, Ab-Soul, The Lox, and Curren$y following suit.

Here's Uncle Murda's Rap Up Above

The year has just began, however this is looking to be another great one. Follow me @RayhemTheDream on both Twitter and Instagram. See y'all soon.

School Is That You??

With two to three weeks left before school starts we've truly come upon a bittersweet time. Football is back and soon basketball will follow, however we also must say hello to homework, studying, and possibly school uniforms. Nevertheless, the world of sports and entertainment is still our friend and has continued to be full of excitement for the masses.

NBA
The NBA players that make up the USA Men's Olympic basketball team showed immense support as they watched fellow American Michael Phelps capture gold last night. Phelps went on to capture gold in a team event later on which brings his total medal count to 21 over his career. If you ask Phelps what's 9+10 and he says 21 he's not stupid he's a genius draped in gold. Back stateside there are a few notable free agents still unsigned such as Lance Stephenson whom many believe will soon sign with the New York Knicks. Ray Allen has also expressed interest in playing for teams such as the Milaulkee Bucks, the Boston Celtics, or possibly the New York Knicks. Each of these three teams are poised to make deep playoff runs next season with many seeing the Knicks and the Celtics as the biggest threats to keeping LeBron James out of a seventh straight NBA finals appearance. Training camp for the NBA will begin soon and before we know it preseason basketball will be on the way. Look out for the critically acclaimed NBA 2K series next installment coming soon to Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.

NFL
The Chargers remain at a stalemate with their first round draft pick quarterback that is not open to a deal that could cost him more money than he anticipated. Former Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is looking to go from the Gridiron to the big leagues reviving his baseball career that ended with him being dominant nearly 10 years ago in high school. Many believe that within a year or two the Christian slugger can play for a major league team and be a factor. Ray Rice and Michael Vick both remain without contracts as Josh Gordon has continued to make strides towards an NFL return. Preseason action begins officially for teams on Thursday August 11th  following the cancelation of the Hall of Fame game just last week. The Washington Redskins will travel to Atlanta for a showdown with the Falcons, the Buccaneers will face the Eagles in Philadelphia, and the Panthers will travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens. Rounding out the night we will see the Saints travel to New England for a game, the Jaguars will go to NY to face the Jets, and the defending Superbowl champion Broncos will face off against the Bears in the Windy City.

Boxing
Although most fans already knew due to Bob Arum's announcement, Manny Pacquiao officially announced that he will fight Jesse Vargas on November 5th with a location to still be chosen. Many fans have begged for the Filipino star to fight in his homeland, however the fight does not look to be profitable there and many believe it will take place in Vegas at the MGM Grand. Andre Berto and Andre Ward got a good laugh watching interviews of themselves from their beginning years in disbelief. "I was still just trying to get my life together, sheesh I don't even sound like that no more" chuckled Ward. "I wish my body still looked and felt like that" said a snickering Berto when looking at his incredible physique. Adrien Broner is still looking to fight sometime before the year ends as is Danny Garcia. Deontay Wilder has stated that he would like to fight despite currently nursing a hand injury and truly running out of worthy opponents. Some are saying that Wilder is starting to look a lot like Roy Jones Jr. during the time when he would do things like play in professional basketball games before a fight and still dominate.

Hip-Hop/R&B
Frank Ocean officially punked everyone and had people like myself waiting up till 12 for an album that never dropped. Several media sources are projecting the album to drop sometime in November but I'm not believing the hype until I see it iTunes. DJ Khaled's Major Key album has caught the internet by storm with many raving about the features and the different dynamics. Songs such as Jermaine's Interlude, Nas Album Done, and I Got the Keys have exhibited the many layers to the album while showing just how much Khaled has grown in the rap game. Many people have overlooked the fact that Khaled has been in the industry for 20 plus years and have foolishly called him an "overnight success". This success has been built over decades, literally and Khaled has not forgotten to mention that in the numerous interviews and television appearances that he's had over the past few weeks. 2Chainz released a mixtape that has fans anxious for the album set to drop before 2016 ends. Kanye West recently passed Michael Jackson scoring his 40th top 40 hit with Schoolboy Q's "That Part".  Lil Dicky is set to begin touring possibly internationally early next year as is Dave East. Desiigner's "Timmy Turner" continues to set the internet on fire as "Panda" remained #3 on Billboard following a slump for the last 3 consecutive weeks. R.Kelly has caught some heat for dating a 19 year old, however as long as she's legal "I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind".

That's all for this week.  BTW soon I will start having Vlog's posted for people to easily consume on the go and I have not forgot about my podcast. I'm extremely busy and I appreciate those that have been patient and supported the vision from the beginning and continue to read both my blog and my article posts.

4th Quarter... Put Me In Coach

With the 4th quarter of the year being right around the corner there has been much to celebrate with regards to both sports and entertainment. August means football and this year it also means the 2016 Olympics that will be held in Rio. The boxing world is buzzing again and the music world is in for a treat so let us dive right into it.

NBA
With the opening round of the Olympics days away the men of team USA basketball are ready to go for the gold. Forward Carmelo Anthony has a chance to become part of an exclusive class where he would have earned 3 Olympic gold medals. Demar Derozan has already warranted comparisons to "Half man Half amazing" ex-raptor Vince Carter for his acrobatic throwdowns. The Raptors guard attempted a 360 spin while dunking on an opponent and nearly put down what Olympic teammate LeBron James tweeted would have been  "top 5 Olympic dunks" ever. Derek Fisher is looking to make a comeback to the NBA after being the head coach for the Knicks following retirement from the Oklahoma City Thunder a few years back. Metta World Peace believes he can still average 15 points per game and wants the opportunity to show off his talent next season. The Golden State Warriors will sign 2x Shaqtin' a Fool MVP JaVale McGee after losing center Andrew Bogut. Russell Westbrook signed a 3-year 85 million dollar deal with the third year being a player option to stay in Oklahoma City. The vicious guard will have a chance to truly cash in when the salary cap is again expected to see a high rise in the upcoming years.

NFL
The NFL season is literally within arms reach as preseason games begin this upcoming Sunday. Nick Foles recently signed to the Kansas City Chiefs and veteran Dwight Freeney is expected to sign a one year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. Former Falcon Mike Vick is 36 and looking for a team to sign him to a one year deal to end his NFL career properly. Former Ravens RB Ray Rice is looking for an NFL home and has pledged to donate this season's salary to domestic abuse awareness following his heavily publicized dispute. Johnny Manziel is still looking for a home, however its seeming more than likely that the former college standout will remain on the outside looking in. Tom Brady has been attending practice, however he is still set to serve a 4 game suspension to begin the season.

Boxing
Jesse Vargas and Manny Pacquiao are set to face off in November for the Filipino star's last fight. Many boxing fans are waiting to see undefeated welterweight Danny Garcia square off against guys like Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Adrien Broner, or perhaps a rematch with British star Amir Khan. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has expressed no desire to return to the sport and has instead been signing many boxers and MMA fighters to deals through his company Mayweather Promotions. I personally would like to see more dominant heavyweights as the weight class has become boring and lacking any real excitement. The talk of Amir Khan fighting Conor McGregor is merely rumor that will likely not come true.

Hip-Hop/R&B
WE FOUND FRANK!! Frank Ocean has finally shown his face and announced that his sophomore album "Boys Don't Cry" is set to drop on Friday August 5th exclusively on Apple Music. The crooner has been M.I.A. and was supposed to drop this album a few years back in July, we'll still take it now. Pusha T may be releasing an album before the year ends as might 2Chainz, Jay Z, Nas, Post Malone, and PnB Rock. As we draw nearer to the 4th quarter, there is no doubt that there will be much to celebrate and enjoy.

Goodbye July

In the last post for the month of July I figured I'd post on Wednesday this week instead of Thursday for work reasons. Like always the sports and entertainment world has continued to amuse so lets jump right into it.

NBA
With team USA gearing up for the Olympic games, guys like Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony have led the charge as the Americans continue to obliterate the competition. The team defeated China by a score or 106-57 at the Warriors' Oracle Arena where Kevin Durant received a warm welcome playing on his new home court for the first time since signing his new deal. Team USA is looking to capture the gold for the third straight Olympic games coming off an embarrassing bronze metal effort back in 2004. Even without guys such as LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Stephen Curry, the team boast some freakishly talented players. Here are some highlights from the team's most recent blowout win:

NFL
With the NFL training camps set to begin soon there haven't been many new revelations over the past week in the league. Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the NFL with one stipulation being that he miss the first 4 games of the upcoming season. Gordon last played for the Cleveland Browns in 2014. Some early favorites for the title include the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, Greenbay Packers, and the Atlanta Falcons.
Boxing
Gennady Golvkin and Kell Brooks will test one another's undefeated records much to the dismay of many fans. Some wanted to see Keith Thurman face off against Brooks or perhaps Shawn Porter. Other fans wanted to see Canelo Alvarez and Golvkin square off. Many such as Robert Guerrero are calling the fight a mismatch giving Golovkin the victory saying that "Golvkin is a big middleweight already and Brooks barely makes welterweight". Manny Pacquiao's opponent for his possible November brawl still has yet to be chosen and for now most people are speculating that a fight may not in fact happen.

Hip-Hop/R&B
DJ Khaled is set to release his new album "Major Key" on Friday July 29th. Many are speculating that the album may have a J.Cole feature that has not been previously discussed. The Hip-Hop mogul's album will feature Jay Z, Future, Drake, Kanye West, and many more. DJ Drama, Lil Durk, and fresh out the feds Gucci Mane have all recently dropped albums. Gucci Mane's album marks his first in five plus years and is entitled "Everybody Looking". The album has received praise from critics and Gucci may have earned hundreds of thousands of fans do to releasing an album when the buzz was so high. Lil Durk's album entitled "Lil Durk 2X" features the hit "My Beyoncé" featuring Dej Loaf along with a few radio friendly hits. The Cokeboys rapper seems to be one of the few label artists that have had an album produced with the exception of the late Chinx Drugz and the CEO in French Montana.

If you want to find Frank Ocean's next album I suggest you recruit child support, they find everybody. Besides waiting for what most thought would be an inevitable album, some have been talking about 90's crooner Keith Sweat's new album "Dress To Impress". Songs like "Nobody" are no longer on the album however that same type of "babymaking" music is there from star to finish. The album includes features from 90's group "Dru Hill" and Gerald Levert. You can purchase this album and all others on iTunes and Google Play.

I'll be back in August.

Do We Gotta Say Goodbye For The Summer?

If you're like me you've been loving this summer thus far and must be wondering, does it ever have to end? With the sports worlds on fire and a summer that has had pleasant weather for the most part, people are content with just staying in these three months for good. Lets jump right into it though with the latest in greatest in NBA news.

NBA
NBA Free Agency has already seen billions of dollars dispersed due to the new collective bargaining agreement and fans of the game, both casual and die hard, have taken notice. Some of the biggest free agency landings included Kevin Durant heading to the Golden State Warriors, Dwayne Wade going to the Chicago Bulls, Derrick Rose going to the New York Knicks, Al Horford heading to the Boston Celtics, and Dwight Howard signing with the Atlanta Hawks. These players all received contracts for roughly 20 million per season despite the fact that guys like Derrick Rose and Al Horford didn't even crack the 20 point per game mark last season. Fans have scrutinized Kevin Durant for his decision to leave a franchise after a great 9 year run and the complexion of the NBA has greatly changed. There are few free agents left unsigned, however with this kind of suspenseful free agency, fans must be drooling to find out who lands where next.

NFL
The NFL season resumes in just 2 weeks with training camp being right around the corner. Arian Foster made headlines by signing a one year deal with the Miami Dolphins much to the delight of die hard fans of the Southern Florida team. Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliot now has the highest selling NFL Jersey for the past three months despite not even entering training camp yet. Tom Brady will serve his four game suspension after finally deciding to give up in his fight against the NFL for the now infamous "Deflategate" scandal. Johnny Manziel has continued to tell fans that he's making a comeback despite the fact that he isn't currently signed to any team. With just about a full month before preseason football, the NFL is looking to make for another great season with exciting games and fanfare.

Boxing
The world of boxing has truly blessed us all with premiere fights on primetime television for free. In a fight of the year candidate, Keith Thurman retained his welterweight title by defeating Shawn Porter via unanimous decision of June 25th in Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Thurman and Porter are close friends and although Thurman has a mandatory challenger to face next, he has expressed his desire to give Porter a rematch nonetheless. Manny Pacquiao has decided to make a comeback likely in November and Canelo Alvarez is slated to fight at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, TX for his next bout. Boxing fans have surely been given quite a few fights to get excited about across all divisions, specifically heavyweight, with Deontay Wilder scoring yet another knockout just a few weeks ago. While the 6'7" slugger did break his hand in the bout, fans are optimistic that he will make a return to the ring before the end of 2016. With this kind of summer in boxing fans have been spoiled and primetime boxing may be making more frequent trips to primetime television for more fans to indulge in.

Hip-Hop/R&B
In the rap world, many rappers are currently doing all that they feel necessary in support of the Black Lives Matters movement following controversial shootings of black people. Rappers such as Snoop Dogg, The Game, and T.I. have led protests in their old neighborhoods promoting peace and lobbying for change. Schoolboy Q released his sophomore album BlankFace which features Kanye West on the critically acclaimed track "That Part". Fabolous recently announced that Summertime Shootout officially has a sequel when he teased the art work for the tape and spit solid bars over Aboogie's "My ish" (Radio Edit). With the ummer half way over, many rap fans are anxiously awaiting to see what hot projects will drop from artists as we delve into end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter for the year. Feels like just yesterday people were tweeting "New Year, New Me".

In the R&B universe there has been little to no noise made recently after the big surge of music came with the releases of projects such as BeyoncĂ©'s Lemonade and Rihanna's Anti. Fans have cried out for their desire to see both a Frank Ocean album released as well as a Lauryn Hill album. It appears that many R&B singers are releasing music with more of  a " Pop" feel to them which is making people believe that the genre has only a few left of what may be a dying breed going forward.

With all that's been going on this summer and still plenty of sun left, lets just hope the good times continue to roll in and enjoy them before school comes back for the kids, the parties slow down, and people get into this zombielike state of living.

As usual email me @mcorbin1214@gmail.com for any questions, comments, or concerns.

It's Been Another Crazy Week

Let's start with this bipolar weather that has climbed up to 65 degrees in heavily populated cities like NYC only to then dwindle down to the low thirties the next day. The world of sports, music, and entertainment has seen just as crazy things happen this past week.

NFL
The NFL's Wildcard weekend featured all AFC teams playing on day one and all NFC teams playing on the second day for the first time in as long as most people could remember. Another shocker was the fact that all 4 road teams won the games during Wildcard weekend, which has never happened in the history of the NFL. The frigid temperatures in Minnesota played a huge role in the low scoring game that ended with a score of 10-9 after Blair Walsh botched a 27 yard field goal attempt with 22 seconds that would have put the Vikings ahead by 2. Next week's games will feature the New England Patriots taking on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos against the Pittsburgh Steelers  in the AFC. The NFC will see the GreenBay Packers square off against the Arizona Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers taking on the Seattle Seahawks.
NBA
The NBA is nearing the All Star break which means that already nearly half the NBA season has been played. Stephen Curry and the Warriors have remained a consistent threat to the 95-96 Bull's 72-10 record posting a record of 35-2 to date. Curry has subsequently gained traction in the MVP race with guys such as Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook. Clipper guard Chris Paul has entered the discussion after helping his team establish a 9 game winning streak in the absence of the team's leading scorer Blake Griffin.

Hip-Hop/R&B
The music world never seems to disappoint and this week was no different. Kanye West debuted his new track Real Friends/No More Parties In LA. The track includes vocals from LA natives Kendrick Lamar and Ty Dolla $Ign. Many are calling this track "vintage" Kanye and the track quickly surpassed 150K plays on the Chicago artist's SoundCloud account. Kanye revealed via his Twitter account that SWISH will be released on February 11.

Lil Durk released the visuals for his hit single "My Beyonce" from his critically acclaimed mixtape "300 days, 300 nights". The video features the Chicago drill artist locking lips with his fellow rapper girlfriend Dej Loaf. Fans were amped to see that the video paid homage to the popular movie Love and Basketball starring Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps from 2000.  New music is expected soon from artists such as Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Travis Scott.

Boxing
The boxing world has been quite hushed so far this year, however some big name fighters that should be active fairly soon are Canelo Alvarez, Deontay Wilder, Adrien Broner, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan, Manny Pacquiao, Gennady Golovkin, Miguel Cotto, and Erislandy Lara.

Extraordinary People
This week has been hectic with me preparing to return to college so there is no highlight person of the week. Nevertheless, I'm sure that somebody did some extraordinary deeds and should be commended. If that's you contact me via email @ mcorbin1214@gmail.com and the world may get to know you as the superstar that you are.

Good Foundation, Strong House

As the new year begins it's important for everyone to make this year special and to start the year off right, because a good house begins with a great foundation. This year a new portion has been added to the blog in which extraordinary people are examined and given the proper recognition for their feats. But lets jump right into things like we never left with some sports news:

NFL
After last night the stage has been officially set for the NFL Post Season with the AFC Seeding and NFC Seeding going as follows:
NFC

  1. Carolina Panthers
  2. Arizona Cardinals
  3. Minnesota Vikings
  4. Washington Redskins
  5. Green Bay Packers
  6. Seattle Seahawks
AFC

  1. Denver Broncos
  2. New England Patriots
  3. Cincinnati Bengals
  4. Houston Texans
  5. Kansas City Chiefs
  6. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Wildcard round will span the dates of January 9th and 10th with the bottom four seeds facing off in a match up of 3 V.S.  6 and 4 V.S. 5. The season's MVP appears to be Cam Newton after his stellar season and his team becoming the 7th in NFL history to finish the regular season with 15 wins. This NFL season has proved to be exciting with many teams fighting for playoff positions and seeding going into the last week of the regular season.

NBA
The NBA season has seen many teams with head scratching records such as the Houston Rockets and the Milwaukee Bucks. No team has head as crazy a record as the Golden State Warriors however who currently boast a 29-2 mark and set a record for the best start in NBA history. Unfortunately, the team's MVP Stephen Curry has been injured as of late and is questionable for their next game. The San Antonio Spurs have performed like the old running machine that they've become known for and other teams out east have stepped up their play. While Karl Anthony Towns is looking like a shoe in for rookie of the year, Knicks center Kristaps Porzingis aint too shabby. The Lithuanian has been a blocking machine that has shown his ability to shoot the ball and make great passes as well. Porzingis will be a player to look out for going forward. Kobe Bryant has announced his retirement and maintains that as much as he loves the game his body is done and it's time to hang up the jersey.

R&B/Hip-Hop
The hip-hop world saw great things to end 2015, most notably the dropping of the long awaited Pusha T album and Rick Ross's Black Market EP. While both albums had similar first week sales, Pusha's album received more critical acclaim overall and was accompanied by a short film that had fans going wild. The film appeared on Tidal and for promotional purposes, the Virginia MC went to NYC to personally give out albums on the release date at midnight. Pusha T's album is entitled Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude and will serve as the lead up to King Push which is set to drop in April. ASAP Ferg and Big Sean are amongst the two bigger names set to drop albums in the first quarter of this year with Meek Mill being set to release the highly anticipated Dreamchasers 4 mixtape.
In the R&B world, Chris Brown's Royalty album continues to sell well as does the Weeknd's album that spawned hits such as Earned It. Tory Lanez has dropped a mixtape that can be heard on Datpiff and August Alsina recently dropped his sophomore album entitled This Thing Called Life. August Alsina recently voiced his thoughts on the album being leaked.. By the Label.
Boxing
The Boxing world has been pretty amazing to close out the year 2015. The big fight that seemed to grasp many fans featured Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez. While Alvarez won the fight, there was no shortage of controversy with regards to the score. One judge nearly scored every round to Alvarez, which as some fans pointed out was "outlandish".
Extraordinary People
It's no surprise that when it comes to fairly successful people there's more than what meets the eye.  Jermaine Greaves is one of those successful people that are very multi layered and their stories will captivate you. Amidst being in a wheelchair, Jermaine has still found a way to be self reliant and to become a powerhouse in the tough NYC scene as a recognized promoter. Greaves started in Studio 10 at the Warehouse when he began his journey as a promoter."I finally felt like people took me seriously when I was volunteer for Afro Punk" "They had me traveling all over Brooklyn, but for the experience I am grateful and it showed me alot about how this industry works"  stated Jermaine.
"You can avoid alot of mistakes by reading books and figuring out how to create your perfect business model". This statement shows people that no matter what your profession is, reading is key. It's worth noting that Greaves was actually born on  April 28th 1992 born in Georgetown, Guyana. He relocated to church avenue in Brooklyn before he moved to East New York and Brownsville. He currently resides in Downtown Brooklyn.
Jermaine stated that he now feels that the quickness of his success is God's will of him being made to host festivals and do all of the things that he has been able to accomplish Jermaine is currently a volunteer coordinator for the Brooklyn Music Festival. Jermaine's current mentor, Nova, is strong and has showed Jermaine that taking time to work on yourself and conduct a business the right was. For 2016 the promoter wishes to merely create his own movement and get it to a level of international recognition. Finding people that both respect and are willing to work with Jermaine are the things that he's looking for. In the words of Jermaine.. "Even if you hate me you know me".  In the words of Drake "Call me crazy, shit at least you calling." Jermaine can be found on Facebook under the name Jermaine Greaves.

Here is a photo of Jermaine with Portland Trailblazers guard Damien Lillard during All Star Weekend in NYC last year.

And of course here's a photo of Greaves with the Infamous Spike Lee.

That's all for now but per the usual... tune in next week for more stories and just to come kick it with your favorite blogger. Summer Twilight: Back In Action

With the Summer winding down music and sports has done its just due in keeping the public entertained. Things from the now infamous Meek Mill V.S. Drake beef to the setup of historical fights in boxing such as the upcoming September 12th bout between Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto. If you've been impressed with the media world this Summer though, prepare to be even more dazzled.

NBA
In the NBA world, players are gearing up to make the team USA roster that will only consist of 12 players and is sure to include some major snubs. Portland Trailblazers guard Damien Lilliard has expressed that he has no need to even try making the team feeling that he'll be overlooked for a second time. Guys like Paul George, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony have attended mandatory practices without physically playing thus far. The popular NBA 2K series will return on September 25th  for select customers and September 29th for the the general public. If you can't wait any longer for NBA action, the wait is almost over.

NFL
The first NFL preseason game resulted in the Pittsburgh Steelers losing a kicker for the season potentially following his tearing of his ACL. Jets quarterback Geno Smith got his jaw broken by way of a locker room scuffle that may sideline the QB for up to 10 weeks. Due to suspensions of players, it will be interesting to see which line ups take the field for select teams such as the New England Patriots in Week 1. It's officially NFL season again so sit back and enjoy people.

Boxing
The boxing world will be treated to Floyd Mayweather's potential last fight on September 12, 2015 at the MGM Grand. While some have expressed disinterest in the fight already, Berto promises to make the bout exciting. Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto are also geared up for a potential November 21st bout for the title in what many are anticipating will be an instant classic and fight of the year candidate. Manny Pacquiao has also expressed his desire to fight Amir Khan in his next bout which may take place in Dubai in May of 2016. If these 3 fights can come to fruition, the next few months will be exciting for the boxing world once again.

Hip-Hop
Straight Outta Compton will finally hit the movie screen on Friday August 14th much to the delight of fans across the country. Memes have been spotted online allowing users to express the where they are "Straight Outta" to promote the film. Dr. Dre has released his first album in over 10 years to coincide with the release of the album. Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" has officially gone platinum and the hip hop world is anxiously awaiting the releases of albums still from Kanye West, Pusha T, and many others. Ja Rule has been releasing new music and Fabolous recently released a visual for the track "Gone For The Winter" from his album "The Young OG Project" which released last Christmas. Check it out below.

R&B
The R&B world has been pretty quiet with few releases. R. Kelly released a single called "BackYard Party" that is typical R.Kelly and sure to shake up that family cookout. The single is said to appear on his forthcoming album scheduled to drop on September 25th. Frank Ocean is yet another artist that has the public waiting for new music. The crooner was set to drop an album before the end of July and has yet to address the public almost two weeks after the month has already ended.

With the summer dying down, I'll continue to bring the hottest news to keep the listeners interested. As usual feel free to contact me at mcorbin1214@gmail.com or on social media at rayhemthedream with regards to anything.

Heating Up In Time For Summer

An exciting NBA finals match-up, the boxing world back on top, and music bringing happiness to all? The world of entertainment is finally on the up and up. With the Summer just a little over a week away its great to see things being so entertaining for the masses

NBA
The NBA finals match-up that includes two MVP's has shaped out to be just as exciting as advertised. The Warriors who led the league with a 67-15 regular season record have fallen behind 2-1 in the series with Stephen Curry looking less than an MVP in the 3 contests thus far. LeBron James on the other hand has set a record for most points scored through 3 NBA finals games with 123 points. Matthew Dellavadova has been the unsung hero of the Cavaliers playing exceptional defense and providing that grit that makes a player irreplaceable. Game 4 is tonight and with a win Cleveland could move to within one win of the Larry O' Brien trophy. However a win by the Warriors could make the series interesting being that the series will shift back to Oakland for Game 5 so stay tuned.

Boxing
The world of boxing has continued to be exciting following the PBC producing fights with quality fighters free of charge on prime time television. Former welterweight champion Adrien Broner will fight at Brooklyn's Barclay center on June 20th on Showtime however being a top tier fighter. His opponent Shawn Porter is a power puncher that will likely make things difficult for the "Can Man". Miguel Cotto recently scored a knockout on HBO that has essentially set up a Pay Per View juggernaut match-up between him and Saul Canelo Alvarez later this year. The heavyweight division has the new Mike Tyson in superstar Deontay Wilder who has 32 knockouts through 33 fights and knocked out his first 18 opponents in just the first round. Lookout for him to make some serious noise over the next few years,  because he's not even 30 yet.

Hip-Hop/R&B
Summer Jam proved to be just the music festival that Hip-Hop fans were hoping for. Per the usual fans were treated to surprise appearances not advertised such as the return of Method Man and Redman. Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill reunited for a performance and guys like Travis Scott got into some trouble with fans. Sadly the night ended with the police fighting off rowdy civilians who were intoxicated and high off a plethora of drugs. Troy Ave, A$AP Rocky, Dom Kennedy, and Lil Durk all dropped albums recently that are doing well and have garnered each artist nationwide recognition. Troy Ave's album is an independent release that can be found in Best Buy, Walmart, and Target.

The R&B world has been quiet with the exception of Beyonce's popular track and accompanying video featuring Nicki Minaj.

As usual fans and friends are invited to contact me with suggestions and comments. My contact information can be found in previous posts.

The End Is Upon Us

NBA

So we're coming down the stretch as come close to the end of what's been in interesting NBA season to say the least. The Atlanta Hawks have showed that they are truly a force to be reckoned with in the East. The Golden State Warriors have continued to reign supreme in the Western conference and it's been a scrappy race for seeds 6-8 in both conferences. Russell Westbrook has been the catalyst that has powered a Thunder offense similar to those of the old Phoenix Suns and that has helped the team gain some hold on their current 8th seed position. The Boston Celtics are holding on for dear life in an effort to grab a playoff spot. The MVP race is still any mans title to take with the top 4 vote getters from last week stringing together impressive performances that have resulted in wins as of late. April will soon be among us so bring on the Playoffs!

Hip-Hop

At Midnight Action Bronson, an emcee from Flushing, Queens, dropped his debut album Mr. Wonderful. Legendary producer, The Alchemist, claims that the project is a layer of Bronson that has never been seen and that the fans should be happy with the work. SXSW, South by south west, is a festival currently taking place in Austin, TX that has garnered the attention of numerous hip hop stars. Iggy Azalea, Big Sean, and Joey Bada$$ are just a few of the many acts that were in Texas to perform this past week for the festival. Troy Ave's Major Without A Deal album is reportedly done and should be releasing very soon. Harlem's own A$AP Rocky also has an album that is currently being mixed and should be releasing very soon.
Download Action Bronson's debut Album now and tell him I sent you in his Twitter page for a shout out.

Boxing

The world of boxing is set for another treat on Saturday April 11th. Undefeated welterweight Danny Garcia will face off against Lamont Peterson at Brooklyn's Barclay Center along with other superstar boxers on prime time television for the second time in as many months. As usual reports pertaining to the May 2nd Super fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been spreading across the internet like wildfire and the public is now so anxious *Ginuwine voice* for the fight to happen.

It's Almost Spring But The Entertainment world is Ablaze!

Hip Hop

So where do we start... How about we begin with Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated album entitled "To Pimp A Butterfly" that magically became available just this morning? The album was available for pre-orders on iTunes, however early Monday morning the album became available on popular streaming sites such as Spotify. Lamar claims to be upset, however he also claims that the album is a classic and will perform well in reference to sales regardless. Like little kids on Christmas Eve, the hip hop world amongst others are now anxiously waiting for releases from Kanye West, Meek Mill, Drake, and Pusha T. 2014 was a sub par year for Hip Hop with few releases garnering much attention with J.Cole's 2014 Forest Hill Drive being one of them. 2015 is looking to be a lot like March in reference to the music output, in like a lion and out like a lamb; as it should be.

NBA

In the sports world Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook is continuing to lead the currently 8th seeded Thunder team to victories having posted triple doubles in 6 out of his last 9 games. Westbrook continues to be in the MVP conversation along with players such as Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and James Harden. The NBA regular season is about a month away from completion and there are still numerous seedings to be determined in both the West and The Eastern conference playoff race, which recently became relevant following the trade deadline.
Here's a look at a few of Westbrook's league leading 6 triple doubles this season

NFL

In the NFL, Demarco Murray has officially signed with the Philadelphia Eagles ending his career with the Dallas Cowboys. The 49ers also made solid acquisitions that included RB Reggie Bush who previously played for the Detroit Lions. The 49ers have also added former Ravens Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith to their roster after waiving former star Frank Gore. Fortunately for Gore, he landed right on his feat with the Indianapolis Colts and the superstar quarterback Andrew Luck. Brandon Marshall became a Miami Dolphin and the team now feels that it's going in the right direction as far as challenging their division rival and super bowl champion Patriots.

Boxing

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio have gone through pretty serious training methods in order to prepare for their bout in nearly 6 weeks in Las Vegas on May 2nd. May weather has sparred with former 5 time champion Zab Judah and has been seen chopping wood on his instagram in preparation for the fight. Pacquaio has brought in sparring partners that mimicked Mayweather's defensive techniques. May the best man win on "May Day"

Thats all for now, but be sure to tune in next week for the latest in greatest in entertainment news and tell a friend.

Michael's Secret Stuff??

Welcome back to the Urban Word 411 where we strive to keep you up to date on the latest and greatest news pertaining to sports and music. Michael's Secret Stuff seems to have been injected into both the sports scene and the music business. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the reference, Michael's Secret Stuff was the label on the outside of a water bottle that was used by numerous TuneSquad players in the locker room in the 1996 blockbuster film Space Jam staring Michael Jordan. The drink, that was really just water, seemed to put some fire under the players who eventually went on to have an unprecedented comeback victory against the MonStars.

With the recent revival of boxing via primetime television, it's safe to say that the WBC had a good dose of the "water". Keith Thurman took a unanimous decision victory against Robert Guerrero and Adrien Broner defeated John Molina Jr. in the same manner. Three out of these four boxers have already become household names with Molina being well on his way after he goes back to the drawing board. April 11 will prove to be yet another stellar night for boxing as NBC will again be bringing boxing to primetime television with a bout featuring welterweight stars Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson facing off in Brooklyn, NY Barclay's Center. With bouts like this on primetime television, there's no wonder the upcoming Mayweather V.S. Pacquaio bout is so highly anticipated on pay-per-view for  100 times the cost of these bouts.

There's also been a surge in the music industry as battle rap has become prominent again thanks to URL( Ultimate Rap League). Mainstream artists such as Drake have now become intrigued by what those involved would call a sport and 106 & Park featured members of the league every Friday as an alternative to the old formate on the show that was "Freestyle Friday". Big Sean released his album "Dark Sky Paradise" to the tune of 174,000 first week sales and a #1 spot on Billboard 200. Other rap artists set to release albums soon include Kendrick Lamar on March 23 and Kanye West according to multiple rumors. Below are the links to both Sean's and Lamar's projects. Kendrick Lamar's project contains 1 track that once the album is preordered will be made available for listening pleasure.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/dark-sky-paradise-deluxe/id963397688

In the R&B world of things, music has been pretty slow. No major projects or singles have dropped from any top mainstream artists and hopefully that trend will change soon.

It's Been Awhile

First off let me say welcome back to the hottest blog on the East Coast. I know it's been months since my last post and health issues have been the main reason behind that. Thankfully my health is currently under more control than it has been and I can get back to regularly posting. So let's dig right into the world of sports.

On February 1st the Seattle Seahawks will square off against the New England Patriots in Glendale, AZ for the Super Bowl title. Seattle is favored to win the game by a small margin, however most analysts have stated their belief that the game shall be a high scoring one with a close score. The Pro Bowl will take place next week as the two title contending teams get some much needed rest. Take a look at how both teams got to the championship round!

In the NBA the Knicks recently ended their 16 game skid defeating the New Orleans Pelicans during a matinee game at MSG on Martin Luther King Jr.  day. All-Star voting for the NBA will end soon so remember to vote your favorite players in as soon as possible and do so once everyday. Kobe Bryant is currently contemplating retirement following the season's end as is Kevin Garnett. Kevin Garnett has already expressed his interest in possibly coaching soon at either the NBA or the collegiate level.

As far as music goes there are a number of things to talk about. Joey Badass's debut album entitled "B4DA$$" (Before the money) drops on January 20th, 2015 and has been the talk of the town for weeks now. The Brooklyn rapper recently discussed the project on Ebro in the morning and performed on the Jimmy Fallon show. Rae Sremmurd also recently dropped a project with a number of guest features including Nicki Minaj. The project is entitled "Sremm Life". Jay Z is currently working with investors to purchase Hot 97 radio station along with fellow NY businessmen including Carmelo Anthony. DJ Funk Flex, an employee of Hot 97, has spoken out against this admitting a distaste for his potential new boss and the idea of him purchasing the station.

Back On My Blog

                                          WE BACK

Boxing

Back like I never left?? Welcome back to everybody's favorite blog The UrbanWord!! Alot has changed since my last post but one thing hasn't and that's the freshest hottest news on the planet. In boxing news Floyd Mayweather Jr ousted Marcos Maidana via a unanimous decision in their rematch that took place last night. Mayweather appeared to have been bitten by Maidana in the 8th round during a clinch. Mayweather's next opponent is expected to be either Amir Khan or Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao must win his next fight v.s. Chris Algeri to ensure that Floyd even considers partaking in the super fight that would rake in hundreds of millions of dollars. The under card produced a victory for Bey, one of Floyd's fighters, and a 2nd round TKO.

Music

In the music world there has been alot of buzz recently over artists such as Young Thug and Nicki Minaj. Young Thug has been rumored as being one of a few gay rappers who has yet to come forward. August Alsina and Ty Dolla Sign have been seen making music together and are both set to appear at prominent universities during Homecoming season in October. Meek Mill will be released from jail soon and yesterday was the anniversary of Ready To Die. The album turned 20 years old, like I will be this year, and Funk Flex played an omage to the dead rapper via his radio show. Yesterday also marked the 18 year anniversary since Tupac Shakur was pronounced dead after spending six days in the hospital in critical condition. Happy Birthday to virgo rapper Nas, wishing you many more man. Personally I will be releasing a mixtape midway through December  or possibly closer to the Christmas holiday. I have been working with an up and coming producer who will also be dropping a project. Never was a rapper but I've been told that I'm talented so it's time to let the public decide.

Basketball

As far as the NBA goes fans are ready for an action packed season to begin on October 30th. Today the U.S. national team captured a gold medal by effectively knocking off Serbia to cruise to a 129-92 Victory. Citizen Journalism has officially became the most popular form of media reporting and if you don't know what that is google it. Congratulations to Kyrie Irving who took home the MVP award for tournament play and the U.S. men's team that has now qualified for the 2016 games.
As always any comments, questions, or concerns just email me mcorbin1214@gmail.com and add me on instagram/twitter rayhemthedream.... I'm back on the blog heavy so expect fresh news on a weekly basis and tell a friend about the page, we about to blow up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heating Up

Welcome back to another installment of the UrbanWord 411.!!!!!

In the NBA the San Antonio Spurs recently took game 1 following a 4th quarter outburst in which the team shot 14/16. Tim Duncan shot 90% for the game and joined some elite company by completing that feat last Thursday.LeBron James left the game early due to severe cramping, however he has stated that he will be ready for game 2 on June 8th. Dwayne Wade played excellent and looks to be able to still compete at an elite level. The AT&T center experienced a malfunction with the air conditioning causing the arena to elevate in temperature above 90 degrees, which some believe may have affected the players. Above you can look at a highlight reel of the Game 1 action.

Congratulations to Miguel Cotto, who defeated Sergio Martinez via 9th round TKO to become the first Puerto Rican to win titles in 4 weight divisions. Miguel Cotto may have just tossed his name into the pool of potential Floyd Mayweather opponents. Amir Khan may get his chance to fight Mayweather in early 2015 in his home land of Great Britain. The fighter has become the biggest phenom from the area since Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton. Adrien Broner has again expressed his desire to fight Pacquiao and a bout between him and Danny Garcia is currently in the making. The next super fight we have in boxing will feature Canelo Alvarez and power puncher ErisLandy Lara in early July.
In the world of music Troy Ave is still an unsigned free agent who may be close to signing a deal soon. Reports have surfaced that the rapper wants at least 1.3 million dollars for his services, however he is willing to compromise if the numbers are right. Hovain, Troy's manager has stated via an Elliot Wilson interview, that labels are hounding Troy to sign however when the time is right the deal will fall through. The G-Unit album and Dipset albums are coming soon as is Meek Mill's Sophomore project. Slaughterhouse recently released a mixtape to generally critical acclaim showcasing the group's lyrical explosions. Personally my favorite member is Joell Ortiz but I'm a biased Brooklyn guy lol. Each member is dope in his own right but I feel like Crooked I and Budden have alot of pain behind their lyrics.

Thats all for this installment but check me out next week for "New Flava in Ya Ear" #CraigMackVoice

June

Welcome Back to another edition of The UrbanWord411!

In recent NBA news the Spurs and the Heat have played well enough to set up a finals rematch which will be the first in back to back seasons since the Bulls and the Jazz from 1997-1998. Upon the loss by the Oklahoma City Thunder, which ended their season, Knicks President of Basketball operations Phil Jackson was fined for tampering. Derek Fisher was the player he allegedly tampered with. Fisher just finished up his final NBA season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kevin Love was recently spotted at Fenway Park with Celtic Rajon Rondo on a trip that seems to be recruitment related. Love will become a free agent at the end of next season and has already expressed his displeasure with the team and it's direction. Also Larry Bird and the Indiana Pacers have retained coach Frank Vogel and agreed not to offer Center Roy Hibert a maximum extension. Lance Stephenson's future with the team is currently uncertain as well. Tony Parker is set to play in Game 1 of the finals despite missing the second half of Game 6 in the Conference Finals. Game 1 begins at 9 PM on Thursday June 5th in San Antonio. Also here's my cover of R.Kelly's When A Woman Loves.

As far as the music world goes Summer Jam 2014 proved alot of things. August Alsina is not much of a performer and NY music is still alive and well. G-Unit had a reunion during the festival as did Nas and 50 Cent. Up and coming NY star Troy Ave's performance was spectacular and included the incorporation of rapper T.I. 50 Cent along with Fabolous debuted the remix of the song "Cuffin Season" from Fab's most recent mix tape entitled "The Soul Tape 3". With June here and summer nearly underway expect to see tons of albums dropping as well as tours nationwide. Here are just a few of the festival's performances. The XXL Freshmen class has already released individual freestyles and now the first cypher has been released.

Recently I released a verse over Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" Via my souncloud page that I would appreciate if people followed it. Just look me up RayhemTheDream... You not doing nothing important anyway so give my material a listen and if you like it share it.. Also I am currently looking for more beats so if you have any email me at mcorbin1214@gmail.com

Summer Around the Corner

Welcome back to another installment of The Urban Word with yours truly RayhemTheDream!!

In the NBA currently the Conference finals are under way with both the Miami Heat and the Spurs leading in their match-ups. Serge Ibaka has made a miraculous comeback and will most likely be available for the remainder of the playoffs. As far as coaches go congratulations to the Warriors new head coach Steve Kerr. Also again congrats to Stan Van Gundy who was named both coach and president of basketball operations for the Detroit Pistons. Currently the candidates for the New York Knicks coaching gig remain to be Mark Jackson, Derek Fisher, and Rick Fox whose name was recently added to the list. Kevin Love's next destination is still unknown however he's publicly stated his desire to"Go to a team that can win a championship now." In other news the Cleveland Cavaliers have decided not to grant Kyrie Irving a max contract for the next 4-5 years. Although Kyrie has been an All-Star in 2 of 3 seasons including winning the games MVP award this year, he still has yet to reach the playoffs or play any solid defense. This is not good for a former first round draft pick. Unless King James decides to leave South Beach for Ohio, Uncle Drew may soon leave the city, which is ok considering they still have the #1 pick in this June's Draft. Wiggins, Irving, and James???  The NBA world will become very interesting come July 1st.

In Hip Hop News Wiz Khalifa was arrested for Marijuana possession recently but released the next day. Kanye West recently married his fiancee and the mother of his daughter Kim Kardashian in Italy recently. Meek Mill was recently spotted counting cash on a private jet and speaking about the infamous instagram account called fakewatchbusta that has been exposing celebs rocking fake time pieces. Meek however shops with shyne jewelry that's located in Philadelphia. Troy Ave has been buzzing in the streets following his interview with Elliot Wilson which can be seen below. Troy Ave will be the first unsigned artist to headline Summer Jam and since he's already getting money the MC has stated there's no need to rush into a deal that doesn't meet his standards.

Lately I've been posting to youtube and rapping so I'm dabbling all over. Above you can check out my voice over/ dance to R.Kelly- When A woman Loves...

Tune in next week for another installment yall and keep supporting the kid  @RayhemTheDream

Grind Time

Congratulations to Michael Carter-Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers on winning rookie of the year and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder on capturing his first league MVP award. These two players have had great seasons with Durant's being historical and epic to watch. LeBron James, last season's MVP, has stated that KD was more than deserving of the award this year and that he's played MVP caliber basketball. Last night both road teams capture wins in the Conference semifinals as Washington beat Indiana by 6 while the Clippers blew out the Thunder with a final score of 122-105. Clippers guard Chris Paul made 8 straight 3 pointers and 5 straight within the first 6 minutes of game play. Paul is currently nursing a number of injuries, however he has stated that this season is do or die for the Clippers. The Indiana Pacers seem to have lost that fight that carried them to a Game 7 win over the Hawks in the opening round of the playoffs. The Wizards dominated the Pacers early in Game 1 and seemed to have set the tone for the series as well. The Miami Heat take on the Brooklyn Nets tonight in South Beach while the San Antonio Spurs host the Portland Trailblazers at the AT&T Center.

Michael Carter-Williams

In recent news Manny Pacquiao has stated that he would be open to a fight with Adrien Broner possibly in September of 2014. Floyd Mayweather Jr seems to be set on fighting up and coming undefeated welterweight Keith Thurman in September, which could possibly be Mayweather's last fight. While most boxing fans want to see Floyd reach 50 wins they feel that it would mean at least 3 fights next year as the champ will turn 38 in February and there doesn't seem to be enough legitimate contenders to garner a challenge for Floyd. Miguel Cotto has hinted at another big career fight for him against Canelo Alvarez or Erislandy Lara later this year if possible. Amir Khan has his sights set on a career fight that will serve as a comeback for him, he has stated that he wishes to face Marcos Maidana again with the belief that he'll again be victorious and possibly capture the knockout this time around. Danny Garcia seems to be the man with the plan in the 140lb weight class and everyone want to see him face off against Lucas Mattyse again and Adrien Broner in a title fight.

As far as music goes the summer is coming which means Summer Jam 2014 featuring NY's very own Troy Ave among a number of other prominent artists. Over the summer I plan on releasing what I'm calling a throwback mixtape in the sense that it's made using beats that are hot at the time. Sure the lyrics are original, however the beats are among the most known at that particular time in hip hop. My mixtape's format will be similar to that of Lil Wayne's Infamous "No Ceilings" mixtape.
By the Way what do you guys think of this being the new UrbanWord Logo??????

It Ain't Summer, But The Block Is Hot!!

So the NBA playoffs have just become that much more interesting with several series heading to Game 7. The Warriors captured a 100-99 win to punch their ticket to a Game 7 showdown in Los Angeles on Saturday May 3rd. The Memphis Grizzlies were blown out by the Thunder in Game 6 and will be subsequently missing their star forward Zach Randolph due to him being suspended for striking Thunder Center Steven Adams in the Jaw. Personally I think the Houston Rockets will capture a win tonight and force a Game 7 in H-Town. In the same sense I believe that the Brooklyn Nets will win Game 6 in Brooklyn tonight to force a Game 7 in Toronto. Congratulations to the Wizards and the Heat for finishing out their series in tremendous fashions. In recent news it has been established that the front runner for purchasing the Los Angeles Clippers is Sean "Diddy" Combs. There were rumors that Oprah Winfrey was interested in the team, however sources close to Diddy have stated that he's shown "extremely high interest" in the team.

Boxing fans should begin to rejoice as there will be a star studded line up for the Main event fight on May 3rd featuring Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana. Amir Khan and Adrien Broner will be two superstars featured in two separate fights on this Super Undercard. Personally I appreciate Floyd Mayweather's Brand due the fact that the last big Floyd Mayweather fight undercard featured Lucas Mattyse and Danny Garcia in a superfight that could have garnered it's own Pay-Per View recognition. Regardless of the May 3rd outcome, Floyd Mayweather plans to fight his final bout in September of 2014 against an unnamed opponent. Many boxing fans are wishing to see Manny Pacquiao be that opponent, however I believe the likelihood of something like this is extremely low at this point and time.  The moment has come for these two men.

As far as the music world goes there was recently a song released by Michael Jackson ft. Justin Timberlake. Keyshia Cole also released a single entitled "Rick James", which features a chorus heavily based off of his "I'm Rick James Bitch" catchphrases. Alot of underground artists such as JoeyBadass may be getting signed to major record labels this year so be on the lookout. Big Shoutout to Jadakiss and Styles P on the grand opening of Juices For Life

That's all for this installment so enjoy the first weekend in May and as always email me @ mcorbin1214@gmail.com, text me 610-739-8934, and add me on social media @RayhemTheDream.
